Brief History:
Since 2014 , VTHS has adopted a rigorous STEM curriculum from Project Lead the Way (PLTW). PLTW partners are as diverse as the students and schools they serve, including Fortune 500 corporations (Chevron, Lockheed Martin and Autodesk to name a few), local businesses, foundations, nonprofits, government agencies, and workforce and economic development groups across the country.

What is engineering and what do we emphasize? It is about applying engineering, science, math, and technology to solve complex, open-ended problems in a real-world context. Also, it focuses on the process of defining and solving a problem, not on getting the "right" answer. Proper engineering applies STEM- science, technology, engineering design, and math knowledge and skills to make the world a better place through innovation.
